Catalogue Yard Terms of Service

Service
Catalogue Yard helps Shopify merchants review product information, identify missing or conflicting product details, record confirmations, and publish approved product details to merchant-controlled Shopify surfaces. Merchants may also optionally connect Google Merchant Center to publish approved product details through a selected supplemental product data source. Merchants remain responsible for the accuracy, legality, suitability, product identity, and destination eligibility of information they approve or publish.
Merchant control
Catalogue Yard does not automatically change protected Shopify product fields such as titles, descriptions, prices, inventory, SKUs, status, or variants. After explicit merchant approval, Catalogue Yard can write merchant-owned product metafields and Online Store product-detail data, apply an exact-match Shopify product category when a verified mapping exists, and add or remove only Catalogue Yard-managed product tags selected by the merchant. If Google Merchant Center is connected, Catalogue Yard can write only merchant-approved product details to the selected supplemental product data source and can retract Catalogue Yard-owned supplemental product data. Catalogue Yard does not take ownership of or replace the merchant's primary Google product feed. Merchants should review product details, product matches, destinations, and proposed changes before publishing.
Reference suggestions
When a merchant explicitly selects Find reference, Catalogue Yard may show candidate facts from approved sources. No result is also a valid outcome. Suggested values are not automatically confirmed, published, or promoted into shared product knowledge; the merchant must review the source and separately confirm and approve any value used. The lookup sends only a barcode or GTIN, SKU as a model or part-number hint, vendor or brand, category key, and locale. It does not send product copy, merchant answers, customer or order data, Shopify credentials, or staff identity.
Accounts and Shopify access
Use of Catalogue Yard requires a Shopify store and the permissions requested during installation. Merchants are responsible for controlling staff access to their Shopify store and for actions performed by authorized staff. Shopify authentication, APIs, and app billing are provided by Shopify and are also subject to Shopify's terms.
Optional Google Merchant Center connection
Google Merchant Center integration is optional. If a merchant connects it, the merchant authorizes Catalogue Yard through Google OAuth and selects the Merchant Center account and supplemental product data source to use. Catalogue Yard may use exact identifiers such as a unique GTIN, or an explicit merchant confirmation, to link a Shopify variant to a Google product. Catalogue Yard does not guarantee Google product approval, policy compliance, shopping visibility, advertising eligibility, or processing time. The merchant remains responsible for Merchant Center access, product identity, source configuration, and compliance with Google's terms and policies.
Plans and billing
The Free plan has no time limit and includes up to five merchant-selected products. Once a product is selected on Free, its slot stays assigned to that product and cannot be exchanged while the store remains on Free. Paid plans are billed through Shopify. Prices, included usage, and plan limits are shown in the app before a merchant requests a subscription. Shopify presents and processes subscription approval. Merchants can change or cancel an active paid plan from the app using the available billing controls.
Acceptable use
Do not use Catalogue Yard to violate law, infringe third-party rights, interfere with the service, bypass access controls or plan limits, probe for vulnerabilities without authorization, or submit content you do not have the right to process.
Availability and changes
We may maintain, improve, modify, or discontinue features as the service evolves. We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by an updated effective date on this page.
Disclaimers and liability
Catalogue Yard provides decision-support software and does not guarantee that a product listing is complete, compliant, error-free, or favored by any search engine, marketplace, AI system, or shopping agent. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without warranties not expressly stated here, and Craft jay is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.
